Celebrating Winnie-the-Pooh

Are you a fan of the original Winnie-the-Pooh books?  Those written about a young boy named Christopher Robin and his adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood?

Thanks to a wonderful author named A.A. Milne we can enjoy the stories of Pooh and his friends Pigley, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, and of course Tigger.  His stories were written for his son, Christopher Robin, and were based on the Five Hundred Acre Wood in Ashdown Forest where they would take walks together.

Today, January 18th, we celebrate the birthday of this enchanting writer and his delightful stories about a boy and his bear.

By the way, “Finding Winnie: The True Story of the World’s Most Famous Bear,” illustrated by Sophie Blackall, is the 2016 Caldecott Medal winner.
