Memory Cafe: Power of Flowers Project

Memory Café: Power of Flowers Project

Friday November 8th, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Join the Nevins Library for our first Memory Café.

For those who don’t know, a Memory Café is a welcoming place for individuals experiencing memory changes and their care partners.

During this Memory Café we will be guided in the creation of creating small take home flower bouquets by Power of Flower Project volunteers.

Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Monday October 21, 2019  7pm – 8:30pm

Alzheimer’s is not normal aging.  It’s a disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior.

Join us to learn about:

  • The impact of Alzheimer’s
  • The difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia
  • Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors
  • Current research and treatments available to address some symptoms
  • Alzheimer’s Association resources

This is an education program presented by the Alzheimer’s Association.

Learn How to Be a Dementia Friend

Monday April 9th, 2018  7pm

Come learn from Lya Morse, Programs Coordinator from North Andover Senior Center what dementia is, what it’s like to live with the disease, and some tips for communicating with people who have dementia.
