Order online from B&N and support the Nevins Library

Image result for barnes & noble bookfairIt’s not too late to order items online from Barnes & Noble and support the Nevins Library. Even if you missed the grand event on Dec. 2nd at the Salem, NH Barnes & Noble store, you can still order items online from B&N today and a percentage of the proceeds will go to benefit the Friends of the Library.

All you have to do is visit bn.com/bookfairs and enter Bookfair ID 12252177 at checkout.  It’s a win-win situation!

Last year the library was able to purchase a replacement set of Shakespeare plays, more how-to books, and extra bestsellers with the proceeds from the previous year’s B&N book fair.

I know many of my friends and family will be getting books from me for Christmas this year! 🙂

Garden in the Woods Museum Pass @ Nevins Library

Now that it is June, we can expect to have warmer, sunny weather.  What a more glorious,  soothing way to experience these late Spring/early Summer days than to visit Garden in the Woods.

At the Azalea StepsGarden in the Woods is a living museum of rare and common native plants, set on 45 acres.   Let the cares of the world slide off your shoulders as you meander through two miles of paths that take you over glacier-sculpted ridges and through narrow valleys.   A pond, a wooded bog, several springs, and a brook bring a diversity of wildlife into the garden. There is much to see, feel, and hear as you commune with nature.

What could be better than that on a sunny day with fresh blooms and tinkling springs?  Why, a discounted pass to all that splendor, of course!  The Nevins Library offers a pass to the Garden in the Woods, courtesy of the Friends of the Nevins Library, for our patrons and residents of Methuen.  The pass is good for up to 4 people with adults getting 50% off admission and children’s admission for $1.00.

Click here to sign up for the pass!
